University Of Cantabria

UC participates in 70 project of the EU FP7 and Horizon2020 for R+I and in 22 more from other funding schemes (LIFE, INTERREG, RFCS). UC is assisted in the management of these projects by the Offices of European & International Projects, Transfer of Research, capitalization and communication service.

UC  acts as leader of the HYLANTIC project being responsible. UC  coordinate and take care the team, ensure the proper execution of all planned activities and the financial performance.

Seminar Of The Atlantic Area Programme

Dr. Alfredo Ortiz, as coordinator of HYLANTIC Project and Dr. Javier Pinedo on behalf of APRIA Systems, attended the seminar “Seminario Financiero para Beneficiarios y Controladores” of the INTERREG ESPACIO ATLÁNTICO: PROYECTOS PRIMERA CONVOCATORIA programme, celebrated in Madrid, last April 10th, 2018. The event was organized by Ministry of Finance and Public Function through the General Directorate of European Funds.

Kick-off Meeting

The HYLANTIC project (Atlantic Network for Renewable Generation and Supply of Hydrogen to promote High Energy Efficiency) organized the Kick Off Meeting on the 5th of December in Santander (Spain).  The main objective of this project is to promote renewable energy COMPETITIVENESS IN THE ATLANTIC AREA BY INTEGRATION of THE HYDROGEN ENERGY MARKET THROUGH THE DEVELOPMENT OF NEW AND ADVANCED SYSTEMS TO SUPPLY strategic SECTORS along the Atlantic coast and developing a world leading position in the field of energy efficiency through the use of renewable energy.

The project is led by the University of Cantabria and Coordinated by Dr. Alfredo Ortiz Sainz de Aja (Dep. Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering) and the partnership involves 11 organizations from the five Atlantic Area countries and 15 associated partners, including Public administration, technological clusters, platforms, partnerships for regional development, policy makers, end users and stakeholders which will collaborate on technical activities, and transfer and dissemination of results.

HYLANTIC is funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) through the INTERREG Atlantic Area Programme with a budget of 2,5 million euros and a period of 3 years between 2017 -2020.
